Modern Fairytale

June 29, 2015

Hi My Loves,

I feel so blessed because of all the people that surrounds me. I get all the love and support I need from each and everyone of you. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that each person that you meet in your lifetime has a purpose.

I recently posted a Save the Date stop motion video with me and my Hugs for our Modern Fairytale celebration next year. I have such a fun time doing the photoshoot with the help of our two good-looking fashion forward friends. Our uber creative photographer Christopher Tayah and who else can help us better with our poses than an off-duty model, Finlay Porter who ended up being our Director for the day. hehe

Topher the epitome of peace and love is not only a creative soul but is actually a computer wiz. He literally did the first draft in 20 mins. The whole thing was pretty much done. The only thing that needed to be changed was the sequence, which took him just another 5 mins. I was in awe. I was literally screaming and tearing up because the video was beautiful. A bunch of photos that he took and made it into a stop-motion video. Praise worthy.

Fin with his creative mind as well and experience in modeling gave us pointers while we shoot. His quirky and bubbly personality still comes out but it turned out that he gets more serious when he directs. Another side of him that I’ve never expected. Love it. He made the shoot run smoother and faster.

With both of these beautiful minds combined. Our Save The Date Video was completed the very next day after the shoot.

Also, we’ve been so excited to wear the Infinity shirts and our Beauty & Beast hoodies for literally months!! most thoughtful gifts from our fave couple Sueanne Amisola and Dan Ramiscal. It totally completed our Modern Fairytale theme.

Lips aren’t sealed: I procrastinated a lot. Then the week we decided to do the shoot, it ended up to be my work’s inventory week where I get off at 4:30am for days. sigh. Day before the shoot is when I ended up scouting for a mint green outfit for Hugs, buy a mint green thread and sew my cropped top, skirt including the Tulle skirt I attached to the back of my actual skirt and I had to sew the sleeves of my blazer because I wanted it to look like a cape (inspired by BCBG’s cut-out cape blazer). I also had to iron/steam all our clothes and pack them in garment bags. Yes, night before the actual shoot day I was still frantically checking what I needed for the shoot..coz I had to work the morning of the photoshoot. hahaha Story of my life.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: First look and third look is styled differently but we pretty much used the same outfit but by putting our hoodies.

DIY Cropped Top

June 22, 2015

Hi My Loves,

DIY is not an unusual thing anymore. Exploring your creative side may bring you a good project. I always find ways to be on budget, so if I can make it I don’t buy it.

Not to brag but I think…I’m creative. That’s my excuse when people ask me Math questions. “Creative people don’t do Math. Therefore, I’m creative. Very creative.” 🙂

I like to do something out of my old clothes or just about anything. Even if I don’t end up making the exact thing that I was picturing in my head I usually end up with something even better. So if you are thinking of a project that you want to start but too hesitant to do it. Just go for it, you might end up surprising yourself.

Lips aren’t sealed: If you think you can’t DIY. Everything can easily be found online now. Think of Google as your bestfriend and Pinterest as your other bestfriend.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times:  Wedding guest dress to Birthday dinner date cropped top.

Distressed Jeans

June 16, 2015

Hi My Loves,

Distressed Jeans are mostly bleached, ripped, and frayed to look like they’re excessively worn. They started around 60’s-70’s, became a big hit in the late 80’s-early 90’s and they just continued on after that. Nowadays, you can see some of these jeans in just about any styles: Skinnies, Straight, Bootcut and even with shorts and jean jackets.

Lips aren’t sealed: This jeans can cost up to $600 depending on the brand you choose. If you’re on a budget…ripped them yourself 🙂 All you need is your old pair of pants and a pair of scissors. Cut them wherever you like and rub the cut area. For a better fray put them in the washer and dryer.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: Style it with blazer and Ankle boots to make it Chic or Style it with a loose shirt and sneakers to make it Urban.

Cognac Blazer

May 25, 2015

Hi My Loves,

My blog and gym hibernation needed to stop. So here’s an update 🙂

I’m sorry for not updating my blog for a while. I was busy with my real world job (Visual Merchandising) and my out of this world job (Assistant Wardrobe Styling). I worked for 3 weeks straight…then after that I just got lazy. Was I exhausted?..lets just say, I sleep on the train all the time. hahaha

As you all know my Hugs is my partner in just about anything but our solid good time would be food trip and fashion. Im lucky to have met a guy who would wear anything I suggest. hehehe. It takes a real man to wear something that’s totally out of their comfort zone..a couple tee or a couple outfit? yes he does.. and he rocks it 🙂

Lips aren’t sealed: Men, invest in blazers. You can wear them with any type of pants and shorts. For women, we can wear blazers with just about anything from skirt, dress to shorts. We got this cognac blazer for around $40 from a store in Dongdaemun when we were in Seoul, S. Korea last spring 2014. Cognac is one of the colours you should own in your closet. It is an earthy tone so a lot of colours can be worn with it. I like to pair it a lot with dark denim.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times:  Rock it during Fall or Spring…Winter or even Summer!
