Guns & Roses

Hello Friends,

Starting to feel a little warmer..just a little, in Vancouver. Well compared to -3, we are now 8. So…that’s a good sign. Right?!

Back in the grind now and hopefully we can be more consistent with our blog this time. This winter felt really long..and snowy. This is our first year doing shoots and also our first winter doing shoots outside. It’s fun but it gets really cold most of the time. But we usually try to time ourselves every time we do these shoots. 2 rules, try not to get sick and have lots of fun!

Sweater Weather

Hello Friends,

We have to wake up from our hibernation!!! Tis’ been too long since our last post. Both have been busy at work and photoshoots on our free day but we haven’t really blogged. Good news is…Kisses is finally getting consistent going back to the gym. But she’s sick again.

Mustard in Gastown

Hello Friends,

Last week was a very sad week for us. Kisses’ grandma passed away. All of our Instagram posts from last week was dedicated to her. It was a tough decision for us not to go home in the Philippines as we just got back from our wedding in there and we also stayed there for 2.5 months. Also, she works in retail and December is a crucial month and it is also a black out period for them.

Extra-Long Shirt

September 17, 2015

Hi My Loves,

L.O.V.E. Just spent our unofficial 14th year anniversary in Whistler on September 14 🙂 So I decided to have him as my special guest to talk about his latest fashion craze, Extra Long Shirts.

Lips aren’t sealed: I noticed that these shirts have been up on blogs and on the streets the whole summer and I started to spot them in stores just before Spring. Actually, the first store that I personally saw carried this was Urban Outfitters. Maybe around last year?? I was out shopping with my fave Finlay Porter (Featured in my first blog post). These shirts were part of Urban Outfitters core items (Regular Item they would sell all year round). Fin bought one for $34 that time. Now they sell them for as low as $12 in H&M. That time I just thought that those shirts were made specifically..well..for him..a model, who’s height is double of mine. hahaha Glenn’s been obsessing about them but never really had the guts to tried them on because..let’s face it, he doesn’t have Fin’s height. hahahaha

It didnt really occur to me when these shirts actually started creeping in the market. I just suddenly saw them in blogs, on the streets, then finally in different stores. Since different stores started carrying them there was a greater chance that Glenn can find his perfect lenght and so he did. Glenn faced his fear and finally tried one on from Topman and the rest was history. haha

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: He’s been wearing these extra long shirts all summer long.

Lips aren’t sealed: Lately, these shirts had been my go to shirts. I find them really comfortable and unique. I’d usually wear them with skinnies so it won’t look sloppy because the shirt is already big and extra long. One of my Queen’s fashion advice that I keep in mind.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: I have been wearing them almost everyday during summer. I wear them with trousers when I want to pull a formal look but still relaxed. For my casual look, I’d wear it with my joggers or my biker jeans.

Modern Fairytale

June 29, 2015

Hi My Loves,

I feel so blessed because of all the people that surrounds me. I get all the love and support I need from each and everyone of you. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that each person that you meet in your lifetime has a purpose.

I recently posted a Save the Date stop motion video with me and my Hugs for our Modern Fairytale celebration next year. I have such a fun time doing the photoshoot with the help of our two good-looking fashion forward friends. Our uber creative photographer Christopher Tayah and who else can help us better with our poses than an off-duty model, Finlay Porter who ended up being our Director for the day. hehe

Topher the epitome of peace and love is not only a creative soul but is actually a computer wiz. He literally did the first draft in 20 mins. The whole thing was pretty much done. The only thing that needed to be changed was the sequence, which took him just another 5 mins. I was in awe. I was literally screaming and tearing up because the video was beautiful. A bunch of photos that he took and made it into a stop-motion video. Praise worthy.

Fin with his creative mind as well and experience in modeling gave us pointers while we shoot. His quirky and bubbly personality still comes out but it turned out that he gets more serious when he directs. Another side of him that I’ve never expected. Love it. He made the shoot run smoother and faster.

With both of these beautiful minds combined. Our Save The Date Video was completed the very next day after the shoot.

Also, we’ve been so excited to wear the Infinity shirts and our Beauty & Beast hoodies for literally months!! most thoughtful gifts from our fave couple Sueanne Amisola and Dan Ramiscal. It totally completed our Modern Fairytale theme.

Lips aren’t sealed: I procrastinated a lot. Then the week we decided to do the shoot, it ended up to be my work’s inventory week where I get off at 4:30am for days. sigh. Day before the shoot is when I ended up scouting for a mint green outfit for Hugs, buy a mint green thread and sew my cropped top, skirt including the Tulle skirt I attached to the back of my actual skirt and I had to sew the sleeves of my blazer because I wanted it to look like a cape (inspired by BCBG’s cut-out cape blazer). I also had to iron/steam all our clothes and pack them in garment bags. Yes, night before the actual shoot day I was still frantically checking what I needed for the shoot..coz I had to work the morning of the photoshoot. hahaha Story of my life.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: First look and third look is styled differently but we pretty much used the same outfit but by putting our hoodies.

Distressed Jeans

June 16, 2015

Hi My Loves,

Distressed Jeans are mostly bleached, ripped, and frayed to look like they’re excessively worn. They started around 60’s-70’s, became a big hit in the late 80’s-early 90’s and they just continued on after that. Nowadays, you can see some of these jeans in just about any styles: Skinnies, Straight, Bootcut and even with shorts and jean jackets.

Lips aren’t sealed: This jeans can cost up to $600 depending on the brand you choose. If you’re on a budget…ripped them yourself 🙂 All you need is your old pair of pants and a pair of scissors. Cut them wherever you like and rub the cut area. For a better fray put them in the washer and dryer.

Rock it once, Rock it twice, Rock it multiple times: Style it with blazer and Ankle boots to make it Chic or Style it with a loose shirt and sneakers to make it Urban.

P.S. You don’t have to be InstaBroke just to post photos on InstaGram!
